A galley is not laid out around loose items. The Tumbler drawer is built with 12 divisions sized for tumblers; the Coffee cup drawer carries 24, a finer subdivision suited to a smaller item stacked in higher volume. Division count, not overall drawer size, is what actually determines which item a given drawer is meant to hold, which is worth checking against the item it will actually carry rather than assuming any drawer will do.

Glass Racks and Storage Drawers Round Out the Set

The Atlas drawer and glass rack combines a 15-division drawer sized for an Arabic cup mold with a separate glass rack in the same unit, covering two distinct glassware shapes from one piece of equipment. The Atlas storage drawer is the plain, undivided version of the same footprint — general galley storage rather than a shape-specific compartment — for whatever does not need its own dedicated division, from spare linens to loose service items that do not fit a specialized slot.

The Atlas container is the outlier in the set: a disposable aluminium foil food container, not a piece of durable equipment at all, but still built to the same external footprint as the rotable drawers around it. That is proof, on its own, that the sizing standard governing this whole category does not care whether what sits in a given slot gets washed and reused or thrown away after one flight — the footprint is the only requirement, not the lifecycle of the item filling it.
